Cher's Favorite Cher Songs Are Not the Ones You Might Expect!

Cher is outspoken about the fact that she isn’t necessarily her own biggest fan when it comes to her discography, but she still has some favorites in her collection.

The 74-year-old icon made an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Tuesday (April 20).

“I’m not a huge Cher fan and everyone knows that,” she said.

“I’ve done some good things,” she eventually admitted.

Find out what she said…

As for what songs she finds acceptable in her back catalog? “Song for the Lonely,” featured on her 2001 Living Proof album. It was initially written prior to the September 11 terrorist attacks, but she reconsidered the lyrics as an ode, and dedicated the track to the people of New York in the album’s liner notes.

She also picked “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me,” a Diane Warren-penned track for her 2010 film Burlesque.

In addition, Cher picked her recent album of ABBA covers, Dancing Queen, as an album that she’s “pretty proud” of.

And while she didn’t name any of her more obvious hits, she did say “I Got You Babe” has a “place of honor all its own.”

Many artists are actually not huge fans of their own work – find out which hit songs the stars now regret.
