'Game of Thrones' Prequel 'House of the Dragon' Begins Production, Sets 2022 Premiere Date - First Cast Pics!
House of the Dragon is officially in production, HBO has announced!
The Game of Thrones prequel – from George R.R. Martin, Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik = has been officially announced and will debut sometime next year.
The show features Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Fabien Frankel, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, and Sonoya Mizuno.

The show takes place 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones, and Deadline is reporting that Paddy plays King Viserys Targaryen, Olivia stars as Alicent Hightower, Emma as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Matt as Prince Daemon Targaryen and Steve will play Lord Corlys Velaryon, known as the Sea Snake, who becomes Hand to Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen during the Dance of the Dragons.
