TikTok User Says She Matched With Matthew Perry on Raya at Age 19

A TikTok user is opening up about her experience on Raya, and talking to Matthew Perry.

Kate Haralson, also known as TikTok user @kittynichole, is a LA-based personal assistant who went viral for posting a private FaceTime with the 51-year-old Friends alum, and she just spoke out about the experience to Page Six.

In the interview, Kate opened up about why she released the video.

Here’s what she said…

“A lot of people were saying I’m a bully and mean for posting this, and it made me feel kind of bad, but at the same time, I feel like a lot of guys in Hollywood are talking to all these young girls and it’s something that I think a lot of people should be aware of,” she said, adding that she was only 19 when she first matched with the star in May of 2020.

She said she doesn’t “ever talk to older guys,” but she chose to chat with Matthew Perry because she thought, “Oh, this would be funny.”

“I was not really thinking anything of it,” she said, adding that she “never even really watched Friends.”

“When you match with Matthew Perry as a joke on a dating app and he FaceTimes you and plays 20 questions with you,” the now-deleted video caption read.

The two were heard playing a game of “20 Questions” on the call. She added that none of the questions were sexual, but she did feel uncomfortable considering she was only 19.

“I don’t think he minded that. It kind of felt weird talking to someone my dad’s age and it just felt not right, especially when he knew how young I was. So it was weird,” she noted, adding that he “laughed off” being compared to her father’s age.

“I didn’t expect it to blow up as fast as it did,” she said of the viral clip, inspired by another TikTok user who posted a personal video with Ben Affleck.

“You post something and you just have to expect for some people to be on your side and others to be on their side. Obviously, a lot of people are going to take his side since he’s a celeb TV character, but that’s OK.”

She ultimately took the video down because she “did feel a little bit bad,” considering he was a “nice guy.”

They also never met up, she said, although the actor did try, allegedly telling her: “Maybe one day you can get a COVID test and come over.”

“I just did it more for the joke of it, which sounds mean, but I didn’t think anything of it. I thought it was more so innocent and harmless,” Kate said.

“Honestly, it’s not really OK for these older guys to be talking to such young girls.”

The woman who posted the TikTok with Ben Affleck has since spoke out about her feelings about what happened afterward.
