Get to Know 'Adrenaline' Band 19&YOU With These 10 Fun Facts! (Exclusive)

19&YOU is one of the rising acts on the music scene we’re most excited about, and we want to give Just Jared readers an exclusive chance to get to know them a little better.

The band was formed after executive producer Noah Taylor followed a girl to Australia, crashed at a friend’s place, and ended up meeting who would become the members of the group: Cameron Graves (vocals), Jackson Leitch (guitar), and Liam Wallis (drums). Together, the group instantly hit it off and worked on their first songs in a week’s time, moving to LA last summer.

As for the meaning behind their name? According to the band, “19″ signifies an age in life between adolescence and adulthood full of transformative moments.

On Friday (May 7), the group released their self-titled 7-track debut EP.

“Our debut EP 19&YOU touches on heartbreak, transition, and longing. We started writing this EP when Noah came to visit us (Cam, Jack, and Liam), when we were studying abroad in Australia. At that time, we were all going through heartbreak and decided one night to make a song using that shared experience. That was the start of 19&YOU. We write from experience and relatability, which is why we believe our fans will be able to really connect with the tracks on the EP,” the group said of the release.

From their first few releases, they’ve already garnered a steadily growing fanbase, critical acclaim and tastemaker approval, including getting love from Zane Lowe at Beats 1, as well as getting playlisted on Apple Music and Spotify.

1. Our favorite coffee shop in LA is Lo/Cal cafe.
2. As a kid, Cam wanted to be a pilot, Liam wanted to be a lawyer, Jack wanted to be in a band, and Noah wanted to be a songwriter. Things worked out for half of us.
3. We’re all American, but we met in Sydney, Australia.
4. Our band hasn’t existed outside of Covid, so we’re a band that has never played a live show. We’re going to fix that as soon as possible.
5. A month before we started the band, we all went through breakups simultaneously, which was the perfect catalyst for us writing our EP therefore creating the band.
6. All of us combined have a total of 24 tattoos.
7. Our favorite potato chips are Kettle Jalapeno Chips. Our pantry is always stocked with them (not an ad, we’re just addicted to them).
8. We secretly think we’re on a reality show like The Truman Show and we’re being pranked. Noah is secretly the director.
9. A few weeks ago we bought a set of DJ decks because one of our favorite things to do is have friends over and turn our apartment into a club. Our favorite DJ is Fisher.
10. One of our dreams is to sell out a show at The Enmore Theatre in Newtown, Sydney, Australia.
