Jay-Z Has Reportedly Filed a Trademark for a New Company

Jay-Z is taking on something new.

The 51-year-old entertainer and entrepreneur has amassed an impressive roster of investments and companies including Armand de Brignac champagne and D’Ussé cognac, as well as his entertainment firm Roc Nation and the streaming service Tidal.

Now a new report has emerged that suggests Jay-Z is entering a new industry.

Jay-Z has reportedly filed a trademark through his company S. Carter Enterprises for the name “2/J” under the category of “entertainment services in the nature of creation, development, and production” for television programming, TV series, movies and other similar projects, per TMZ.

The new trademark implies that the rapper is planning on entering the media and television industry and following in the footsteps of other celebrities who have created their own production companies like Lebron James, 50 Cent and Adam Sandler.
