Vanessa Hudgens and Gerard Butler spent the day on a boat together this weekend and we have all the details about what they were up to!

The 32-year-old actress and the 51-year-old actor were among a small group of people who partied on a boat on Sunday (May 9) in Malibu, Calif.

The two stars joined forces to surprise their mutual friend Oliver Trevena with an amazing birthday afternoon on the boat!

Oliver posted some videos on Instagram showing how he was blindfolded and led to the boat by hand by Gerard and another friend.

“When your friends kidnap you at lunch!!!!! A Birthday I will NEVER forget!! I literally had NO idea & was extremely scared thanks to @gerardbutler sound effects he was playing in my ear!! I’ve truly never been so surprised,” Oliver wrote on his Instagram.

He added, “THANK YOU @morgannyc @vanessahudgens @ggmagree @gerardbutler @official_lenaroklin @peter_landesman @throughkevinseye @xo_vanessak & @scottlastaiti for the most magical day & also Thank you to all the DOLPHINS that literally kept us company the entire trip!!! Wow. Wow. Wow. 🐬❤️💥.”

Also on the boat were Gerard‘s girlfriend Morgan Brown, Vanessa‘s BFF GG Magree, filmmaker Peter Landesman, talent manager Lena Roklin, Next Health co-founder Kevin Peake, and more.

For those who don’t know, Oliver and Vanessa are business partners in the newly launched beverage company Caliwater.
