Katy Perry is back with new music!

Nearly a year after a release of her sixth studio album Smile, the 36-year-old singer and American Idol judge dropped her new song titled “Electric” and the music video to go with it.

In the video, Katy and Pikachu take a trip back in time to see a young Katheryn Hudson (aka Katy‘s real name) as she finds her voice and style before guiding her to become the mega star she is today.

“I know you feel it (feel it) / If you believe it then you can / There’s no reason that this life can’t be (Electric!)” Katy sings. “Oh, I can see it, see it / If you believe it then you can / There’s no reason that this life can’t be (Electric!)”

Katy‘s new song comes in honor of the 25th anniversary of Pokemon, which is holding virtual events and releasing new games and special merchandise to celebrate all this year.
