You's Jenna Ortega to Play Wednesday Addams in Tim Burton's Netflix Series!

You actress Jenna Ortega, 18, has landed the lead role of Wednesday Addams in the live-action Addams Family offshoot drama Wednesday, coming to Netflix.

The show will be directed by Tim Burton with Smallville showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar involved.

If you don’t know, Wednesday Addams is the daughter in The Addams Family. The role was portrayed by Christina Ricci in the movies from the 1990s.

Here’s a synopsis, according to THR: Wednesday is described as a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
