Sebastian Stan Tells the Story Behind Viral Photo of Him as Tommy Lee!

Sebastian Stan is opening up about that viral photo of him as Tommy Lee for the upcoming Hulu series Pam & Tommy.

A couple weeks ago, the streamer released photos of him as the rocker alongside Lily James as Pamela Anderson. In one of the pictures, Lily is seen biting the ring on Sebastian‘s nipple.

The photo is a recreation of an actual photo that Pamela and Tommy took back in the day!

In a new interview, Sebastian explained the story behind the photo and talked about his role in the upcoming series.

Sebastian said that the photo was taken way before filming started. It was actually taken during his screen test with Lily! He was the one to send the vintage photo to director Craig Gillespie, who decided he wanted to capture the moment.

“I don’t remember who, I think it was probably Craig, who said, ‘Hey, let’s go out in the sun and why do don’t we do that?’ We were like, ‘Oh, that’s fun.’ And then we just did it,” Sebastian told Variety during the “Just for Variety” podcast with Marc Malkin.

In response to people seeing him in character, Sebastian said, “Honestly, it was freeing because I was walking around in these hoodies and hats… just paranoid of being seen. I was like, ‘God, I hope they’re finally going to release something so you know what we look like, so we can go on with our lives.’”
