Yet Another 'Grey's Anatomy' Star Is Leaving the Show, But There's Good News Too - Spoilers Ahead!

Grey’s Anatomy keeps losing cast members and another series regular just announced that they are leaving the show.

Even though this cast member is leaving as a series regular, there’s some good news because this person will still return as a guest star in the future.

Grey’s Anatomy was just renewed for an 18th season and it was confirmed a couple weeks ago that Jesse Williams will not return. His final episode is airing TONIGHT (May 20).

Giacomo Gianniotti, who plays Andrew DeLuca, has also announced that he is leaving the show this season.

Greg Germann, who plays neurosurgeon Tom Koracick, has announced that he is leaving the show as a series regular. He might return in the future though!

“To have worked with all the incredibly talented people involved with Grey’s over the past few years has been such a privilege,” he told Deadline. “A big thank you to the fans as it has truly been a shared experience!”

Greg joined the show as a recurring star in Season 14 and became a series regular in Season 16.

“Greg Germann is a comic genius and we are so lucky that he brought his talents to our show these last few years,” Grey’s Anatomy executive producer/showrunner Krista Vernoff said in a statement. “We will miss Greg terribly in the day to day – but we plan to see Tom Koracick again!”
