'Cruella' Ending Explained: End Credits Scene Leads Into '101 Dalmatians' Perfectly!

The new movie Cruella is now playing in theaters and streaming on Disney+ with Premium Access. Make sure to stick around for the end credits scene when you watch the film!

There is a scene that happens after the credits that perfectly ties the events of the film to what happens in 101 Dalmatians.

This post will contain spoilers for the movie, so don’t continue reading if you don’t want to know what happens at the end of Cruella.

Emma Stone in Cruella

Cruella follows the origin story of the 101 Dalmatians villain Cruella de Vil (Emma Stone) and we learn that she was just a young girl, known as Estella, when her mother was killed by dalmatians owned by The Baroness (Emma Thompson). By the end of the movie, Estella learns that The Baroness is her birth mother and she successfully hatches a plan to get her arrested.

Estella, who decides to be known as Cruella moving forward, inherits The Baroness’ property and seemingly is about to launch her own fashion line.

So, what happened in the end credits scene?

The bonus scene happens during the middle of the credits. We see The Baroness’ former lawyer Roger (Kayvan Novak), who blamed her for getting him fired, playing piano in his apartment.

A package is delivered to Roger and there is a dalmatian puppy inside with a note that reads, “Meet Pongo! Enjoy, Cruella.”

We then see Cruella’s childhood friend Anita (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), who later turned into a journalist, and she gets a puppy delivered to her as well. The note in her package reads, “Meet Perdita! See you soon, Cruella.”

The scene ends with Roger at the piano playing the “Cruella de Vil” theme song.

If you’re a fan of the animated 101 Dalmatians movie then you’ll know that the main dogs in that film are named Pongo and Perdita. And, their owners are named Roger and Anita!

It seems that Disney is ending Cruella with the possibility of launching another 101 Dalmatians live-action remake!
