Real Voice Behind Milli Vanilli, John Davis, Dies at 66 From COVID-19

Singer John Davis has sadly passed away at the age of 66 on May 24.

According to TMZ, his daughter, Jasmin, revealed the sad news on social media.

“My dad passed away this evening through the coronavirus,” she wrote. “He made a lot of people happy with his laughter and smile, his happy spirit, love and especially through his music.”

Jasmin added in her post, “He gave so much to the world! Please give him the last round of applause. We will miss him dearly.”

John was the real voice behind the pop duo Milli Vanilli, which was fronted by Fabrice Morvan and Rob Pilatus.

The duo actually won a Grammy for Best New Artist in 1990 before they revealed the truth about their musical career.

They, and their producer, confirmed that they were just a cover for the real singers, which included John and a few others, on the records.

There was a planned Milli Vanilli biopic. Here’s what’s happening with that now…
