Meet Ray Nicholson, Star of 'Panic' & Son of Jack Nicholson - 5 Things to Know!

The new Amazon series Panic features Ray Nicholson in one of the lead roles and if he looks familiar to you, there’s a good reason!

The 29-year-old actor is the son of legendary actor Jack Nicholson and this marks his biggest role to date.

Ray has been in the public eye for years because he often is spotted with his dad in their courtside seats at the Los Angeles Lakers games. You can see some of those photos in the gallery!

Panic takes place in a small Texas town, where every summer the graduating seniors compete in a series of challenges, winner takes all, which they believe is their one and only chance to escape their circumstances and make their lives better. But this year, the rules have changed – the pot of money is larger than ever and the game has become even more dangerous. The players will come face to face with their deepest, darkest fears and be forced to decide how much they are willing to risk in order to win.

Ray plays a character named Ray Hall, who is one of the frontrunners to win Panic and becomes a romantic interest for one of the lead female characters.

Ray has some famous parents! He has an older sister named Lorraine and several half-siblings.

2. Ray has been acting for the last few years.

While Panic is definitely Ray‘s biggest role to date, he has been acting for the last few years. He had a recurring role in the series Mayans, M.C. and he also had a small role in Promising Young Woman.

3. He does not have any public social media accounts.

4. Ray had a true “panic” moment while auditioning for Panic.

Ray told JoBlo a funny story about going to his callback audition for Panic.

“For the callback, I was going on my Waze on my phone to get to the audition and my phone died. I didn’t know where to go so I was freaking out, trying to charge my phone, and I ended up being like 15 minutes late for the biggest callback of my life at that point and I was like, ‘Don’t apologize. Ray would not apologize for being 15 minutes late.’ So I just went in and didn’t say anything,” he said. “It was the worst. I was freaking out and was then like, ‘F–k it.’”

5. His next project is a movie with Anthony Hopkins!

Ray has already filmed an upcoming movie called Where Are You, which also stars Anthony Hopkins, Madeline Brewer, and Angela Sarafyan. The thriller is currently in post-production!
