During the interview, the original cast member explained her departure from the VH1 series after being aboard from the beginning, minus taking some time off for her OWN docu-series Livin’ Lozada before returning in 2017.

“I am no longer going to do Basketball Wives. I think that it’s time for me to open up the universe to other things,” she said, adding that it was a “hard decision.”

“It’s not the most positive energy. Now I have a conscience about what I say and what I do and what my kids are going to see,” she revealed, adding that her family felt “relief” when she made the decision.

“It’s time, it’s been time,” she concluded. Season 1 of the show premiered in April of 2010.

She also revealed she isn’t planning to make any cameos, nor does she have reality TV goals in mind, except The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: “That’s the only one I would probably do.”

She previously made headlines when rumored to be linked to a certain superstar singer last year.
