Kelley Flanagan Defends Herself After Peter Weber Accused Her of Being 'Calculated'

Kelley Flanagan isn’t having any of Peter Weber‘s comments about her recent interview where she opened up about their break up.

The 29-year-old attorney, and former contestant on The Bachelor, uploaded a video to her YouTube account and defended herself.

“I’m going to be so brutally honest with you guys… and just speak from the heart. I thought it was very calculated,” Peter had said during an interview of his own, when asked about her comments on the end of their relationship.

He added that he “thought after hearing how it went that it was very trying to push for a headline. Very calculated, very disingenuous. That’s too bad. I didn’t necessarily expect that from Kelley.”

Now, Kelley is speaking out again about the couple’s breakup and defending what she had said on the Chicks in the Office podcast.

“Usually I’d let it slide, but when there are things out there that are misconstrued, I am always going to stick up for myself as I think everyone else should,” Kelley began in her video that she posted last week. “This is kind of in reference as to what is being said about me: that I’m calculated, that I want to hit headlines, that I’m disingenuous, and things like that.”

She also hit back at one of Peter‘s comments that she was looking for attention.

Kelley shared that their relationship took a turn after Valentine’s Day, which isn’t “half a year ago”, as Peter had claimed.

“Someone is giving their opinion as to why I did it with no facts behind it, which I think is a little bit crazy,” she said before reiterating the timeline and what she had said on Chicks in the Office. “The bear was poked. There was a lot of things even going on, being disrespected, going and hanging out with my family friends, posting everywhere. I was just like, I don’t understand. When you end badly with someone, you would think that they would just try to respect you a little bit and just go their way instead of reaching out to my friends.”

She continued, “When something happens that’s extremely disrespectful, you have to know your worth and you have to sit there and say, ‘Good luck to you, I wish you the best in the future but I just don’t necessarily want you in my life,’” adding, “I think I would have respected him more if he didn’t accuse me of trying to hit headlines.”
