Jeff Bezos Is Going to Space in July 2021

Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man, is going to space next month.

The 57-year-old billionaire, with a net worth of $187 billion, will be on the maiden voyage of the New Shepard, a spacecraft made by his company, Blue Origin.

“Ever since I was five years old, I’ve dreamed of traveling to space,” Bezos announced on his Instagram. “On July 20th, I will take that journey with my brother. The greatest adventure, with my best friend.”

The voyage will be an 11-minute journey that is set to go 60 miles above the Earth.

Citizens are actually able to bid to get a seat on Jeff’s space flight and so far, the highest bid is for $2.8 million. The winning bid will join Jeff on the flight and their money will go to Blue Origin’s foundation, Club for the Future.

Other billionaires who are set to go to space include Virgin Galactic’s Richard Branson and SpaceX and Tesla boss Elon Musk.
