A Viral TikTok Video May Have Discovered a Lost Girl Who Was Kidnapped in 2003

A video went viral on TikTok recently because people think the woman featured in the clip might by a girl who vanished without a trace back in 2003.

Sofia Juarez went missing on February 4, 2003, just one day before she turned five, and her case has remained unsolved over 18 years later.

A video that was filmed in Mexico earlier this year has led people to believe that Sofia might be living there. The young woman in the video claims that she was kidnapped and doesn’t know about her history.

The woman said she wanted her family to come find her. “I want to tell them to come for me because I’m here, kidnapped,” she said.

Kennewick Police Special Investigator Al Wehner told People, “[The TikTok personality] asked her whatever question he was posing to people and somehow the issues of birthdays came up, and she made mention to him she thought she was about 22 but she didn’t like birthdays because of a traumatic event that happened to her when she was young. She thinks that she had been kidnapped at an early age. She didn’t know if she was from the U.S. or Mexico. And she was hopeful that her family might be able to find her.”

People reports that the police have been unable to relocate the young woman and they hope to do a DNA test with her. The police also say that woman’s alleged family say she is not Sofia.
