X Factor's Louis Walsh Makes Serious Allegation About Britney Spears & Her Time as a Judge

Louis Walsh, one of the longtime judges on the UK version of The X Factor, has made a serious allegation about Britney Spears and her time on the US version of the talent show.

When Britney was a judge during season two in 2012, Louis served as a guest judge when Simon Cowell was out sick.

In a new interview, Louis talked about what was happening with Britney at the time and what it was like to sit at the judges table with her.

“I was sitting with Britney for two days, and after every few auditions, she would go…” Louis said before imitating her slumping over the table, according to the Irish Independent.

Louis continued, “They would literally have to stop the show and take her out because she was on so much medication and other stuff. I felt sorry for her. Here she was, the biggest pop star on the planet, and she was just sitting there physically, but she wasn’t there mentally. She had a lot of problems.”

Britney reportedly made $15 million for her season as a judge. Louis was asked if she should have been receiving help instead of appearing on the show and he said, “She was getting millions of dollars to do it, so why the f–k wouldn’t she sit there?”

Back in 2012, Britney talked to Elle about her time on the show and her struggles.

“I was having panic attack after panic attack,” she said. “I got over that quickly, though, and realized that I was helping them by being honest. … Personally, I think that’s the toughest part about being a judge on The X Factor. Most of them are still developing, and it’s hard to tell such young kids whether they have what it takes or not, so I try to be as protective as I can with their hopes and dreams.”

Britney recently reflected on being a young mom to her sons.
