Tati Westbrook Returns to YouTube One Year After Beauty Community Drama

Tati Westbrook is back.

The 39-year-old YouTube beauty guru returned to the platform one year after getting involved in a massive controversy involving the beauty community and influencers including Jeffree Star and James Charles.

“I thought about this for so long, and I’m really excited that I’m even just sitting down and filming,” she said.

“Many of you want answers about certain things that have been splattered over the Internet,” she continued.

“I’m gonna start first with reminding you of my very successful last video,” she said sarcastically.

“That was a terrible time in my life. I was so super stressed out…that past event that seems to want to follow me everywhere I go. I don’t want to talk about. I will let you guys know…when I pulled back, I stopped communication with everyone in the beauty community.”

“There’s no litigation. No cease and desist. Nothing either way in that event, if you will. Legal things happened. Just not in the I-don’t-wanna-talk-about-it event,” she continued.

She also revealed that she was being relentlessly harassed and sent many death threats over the past spring and summer.

She also confirmed something that surfaced online last November: she is going through litigation after being accused of fraud by her business partner.

“There was no way that I could just come back online and start reviewing makeup and promoting Halo Beauty while there’s this big lawsuit thrown around the Internet…I needed to wait until the storm calmed to be able to come back and post again,” she explained.

She also claimed the business partner was feeding information to YouTube drama channels. She revealed she sold her house in LA and downsized her lifestyle in a major way to continue with the expensive litigation.

“I’d appreciate your prayers over it,” she added.

She also revealed that she and her husband nearly got divorced amid the drama: “James and I almost got divorced. He got his own place. We were separated during the holidays,” she admitted, likening her life to a Lifetime movie.

“I did not think we were gonna work it out. I thought there was no hope. I took my wedding ring off,” she revealed. “It was a tough and lonely holiday season.”

She also revealed she may have accidentally donated her wedding ring in the move.

“I have my husband back, and that’s better…and that actually is a miracle.”

“P.S. Not pregnant,” she added. “I would love that. That was not my journey over the last year. However, I did learn so many beautiful lessons…it ended up being the most supernatural year of my life.”

She also spoke about her faith and spirituality, and finding her strength in prayer, as well as putting in a very earnest request for people to stop reading her tarot cards without her permission for readings.

“Moving forward, you’re going to see a different version of me online,” she promised.

Jeffree Star recently announced a big change in his life.
