'Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' Creators Tease Milo Ventimiglia's 'Very Different' Role in Season 4

We’re finally getting some details about Milo Ventimiglia‘s character in the fourth season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel!

Earlier this month, the 43-year old actor was spotted filming scenes alongside the show’s star Rachel Brosnahan in New York City.

Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her husband Daniel Palladino received the award for Excellence in Television Writing at the Nantucket Film Festival on Saturday (June 19) and during their appearance they offered some insight into Milo‘s character on the show.

When asked about the This Is Us actor’s role, Amy quipped, “[He’s playing] someone very handsome.”

“You have to see it in context,” Daniel added. “Because it’s actually a very different thing we’re doing with him. We needed someone of his caliber and his handsomeness, so we asked Milo to do it. But you have to see it in the context.”

Milo previously worked with Amy on Gilmore Girls and she teased the possibility of bringing him onto The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in 2018.

“Don’t think it has not been discussed!” she told Variety. “It’s got to be the right part. It can’t be just a cameo. It’s got to have some meat to it. And it’s also got to be a time when he can shave and cut his hair into a 1950s-period look. But the reuniting will definitely happen.”
