Rafael Nadal holds up the Wimbledon trophy after winning his first title on Sunday, ending Roger Federer’s five-year reign.

Nadal, 22, prevailed after winning two sets, losing two sets and then finally winning the match at 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-7 (8), 9-7. He became the first man to win the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year since Bjorn Borg in 1980.

After his winning match point, Nadal fell to the ground and started to cry. He then pulled himself together and ran up into the stands to hug his parents and his uncle/coach Toni Nadal.

FYI: Venus Williams defeated younger sister Serena in straight sets: 7–5, 6–4. Together, they dominated in doubles over Lisa Raymond and Samantha Stosur: 6–2, 6–2.

Actress Heather McComb passionately kisses her husband James Van Der Beek (of Dawson’s Creek fame) while riding on his hip over the fourth of July weekend at a beach in Malibu, Calif.

Van Der Beek and McComb (both 31) celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary today (Sunday). Since they’re both wearing red bracelets, it would seem that they are Kabbalah believers.

Madonna finally speaks out on her own accord, denying that she is divorcing director Guy Ritchie or having an affair with Yankee star Alex Rodriguez.

Madge tells People: “My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study.”

She adds, “I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many false reports about me very seriously. I also appreciate how fiction and fact seem to be perceived as one and the same by people who read both newspapers and the internet.”

Kanye West just published another blog entry to vent to his fans. This time, he’s frustrated with fashion mag Harper’s Bazaar for assuming the painting on his ceiling is a winged version of himself (see left). Here’s what Kanye had to say in his “Harper’s Bazaar… I Don’t Have A Painting Of Myself As An Angel” blog entry:

“To put it short as Kanye-ly possible (don’t mean to speak in third person)… Harper’s Bazaar came to my home, took pics, asked a lot of questions and then assumed the painting in my dining room was of me as an angel. This isn’t true and it bothered me greatly because people think I’m so so so cocky that I would have something like that. I’m sure it was an inside joke to everyone from the magazine in my home that day. People would come over my house after that and say, ‘I heard about this pic of you as an angel!’ I would have appreciated if Harper’s Bazaar would have put in some type of blurb to clear it up. I wanted people to see my home because I spent 2 years gutting it and was proud. I’m just a regular guy with cool stuff in his crib but instead I was made out to be Ben Stiller’s character in the movie Dodgeball with the huge pic of him wrestling a bull in his office. Why didn’t they write that my house had no pics of me, no plaques or awards, just art. I guess it’s bittersweet, you spend half your life trying to become larger than life and the other half trying to just live a real life again.”

A mystery woman is spotted leaving Jude Law’s London home on Friday with her blonde hair wet after apparently showering.

The mystery blonde then headed to the airport. Shortly thereafter, Jude, 35, also headed for the airport where he just happened to run into actor Sean Pertwee (not pictured).

Pregnant rocker Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale cheer on Switzerland’s Roger Federer from the tennis champ’s private box during the Wimbledon Men’s Final Match on the Centre Court at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Sunday, July 6.

During their third set, defending champion Federer, 26, and his opponent, Spain’s Rafael Nadal, 22, were interrupted by rain. Nadal won the first two sets 6-4 when rain began to fall during the third set with the score at 5-4 (Federer).

Ryan Gosling heads to Blueprint furniture store in West Hollywood after leaving a hair salon on Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The 27-year-old Notebook actor was seen holding hands with a mystery brunette babe (inset) in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood. It’s obviously not his ex, Rachel McAdams. So who is it?!

Gosling has been busy filming his new movie, All Good Things, in the Big Apple.

Kate Walsh spends her afternoon running errands around Los Angeles on Saturday.

Madonna arrives at the Kabbalah Center for Saturday Service with director husband Guy Ritchie (pictured below) and daughter, Lourdes, 11 1/2, in New York City.

The three of them were stuck in the car for a little while because of the rain.

This past week, Madonna has been under fire for breaking up her marriage to Guy as well as the marriage of New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez and his wife Cynthia. These rumors were vehemently denied by the Madge’s rep.
