Sam Mendes: Kate Winslet's Son

New York, NY :: 30-year-old actress Kate Winslet carried out more mommy duties as she picked up her 5-year-old daughter Mia Threapleton from school again. Kate took along 2-year-old son Joe Mendes for the ride but producer husband Sam Mendes, 40, was MIA. Although Joe does look schoolbound with his Thomas the Tank Engine backpack. Choo-choo! But is age 2 too young to be in school? Don’t forget Mother’s Day is right around the corner — it’s this Sunday! More pictures in the gallery!

Age 2 is NOT too young to be in school! My son is 3 years old and in a class for a speech delay. The first five years of a child’s life are the most important as far as cramming as much knowledge into their little minds. I applaud Kate for at least being a normal mother.

I believe ’school’ for 2 year olds is called daycare. Funny how calling it school makes people feel better.

There is such thing as preschool. Wich just teaches them skills to be prepared for kindergarten. Perhaps he is in that? I thought the age requirement was 3 but maybe not. She really is a great actress!! And she looks really good!! What a cute mom!!

Maybe he just likes to have a backpack like his big sister. I know my little girl does! And she is’nt in schhol yet but wears it every where!!
