Check out the music video premiere of Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy”!

“[The video] is about all of the little things that mean so much in a relationship,” the 27-year-old singer has said. “At the end of the clip, you realize that I was acting out his life, and it all starts over again. He was a cop and everything that happened was really him doing the same thing to me.” (Check out the lyrics here.)

The video was directed by Jake Nava, who also did Beyonce’s “Baby Boy” featuring Sean Paul. The song was produced by Toby Gad, who also worked on Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry”.

Beyonce will release the Jake Nava-directed music videos for her two new singles “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” this Monday, October 13 via MTV, BET, VH1 and Fuse.

“It’s kind of like Freaky Friday,” Beyonce tells Billboard of the concept behind the “If I Were a Boy” vid, where she plays a police officer. “In the beginning of the video, my husband makes me breakfast and he’s excited about it, and I kind of don’t have time to eat. As a police officer, I have a male partner and the video goes through our days. My husband’s at work and has attractive girls flirting with him but he declines their advances. I have a guy flirting with me, and I flirt back.”

Beyonce adds, “It’s about all of the little things that mean so much in a relationship. At the end of the clip, you realize that I was acting out his life, and it all starts over again. He was a cop and everything that happened was really him doing the same thing to me.”

Beyoncé breaks her long silence and finally reveals a few a details about her secret wedding with Jay-Z in an interview with Essence.

“What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real,” Beyoncé said. She even revealed she didn’t want an engagement ring because “people put too much emphasis on that. It’s just material and it’s just silly to me.”

The wedding in New York was small and intimate because Beyoncé says she is not a “traditional woman,” and didn’t want the drama. “It’s been my day so many days already,” the 27-year-old singer said.

“We’ve been together a long time,” she says. “We always knew it would happen.”

Beyonce has just released another new song, “Single Ladies”. It’s the second single from her upcoming as-yet-titled album. Earlier this morning, she released, “If I Were A Boy.”

Yesterday, the 27-year-old singer sparkled in gold during her performance at the Bermuda Music Festival in Hamilton, Bermuda. Beyonce also recently revealed that she recorded over 70 songs for hew new album, which is set for release on November 18.

After recording over 70 songs, Beyonce is set to release her new album next month. Yes, an astonishing SEVENTY SONGS. Here’s what she just release via her official website:

“I wanted to address my fans about my upcoming album. I have worked on this album for close to one year. I have taken the time so I can create my sound. Something that says who I am at this stage in my life. I have poured my heart and soul into it. It is my baby. It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny’s Child when I was 15 years old. I have recorded over 70 songs and have created a sound that reveals all of me. I am in a different place right now and I wanted people to see the many sides of me. The music is upbeat for the dance, fun side and it is reflective, passionate and serious for the personal side. I have taken risks here. I am not afraid and my music will explain it all. There is no label or tag on my sound. It’s me and I am so excited to share it with the world on November 18. Love, Beyoncé”

How many of those 70 will make the cut? We shall see! It was previously announced that two tracks from Beyonce’s album, “If I Were a Boy” and “Single Ladies,” will be released in advance of the LP on October 7.

Beyonce lays the smackdown as New York’s Finest, playing an NYPD police officer on the set of her new music video “If I Was a Boy” this past Friday in Harlem, New York City.

The new song is scheduled to be released on October 7th. Beyonce’s untitled third studio album is said to be available on November 18th. Can’t wait to hear new Beyonce material!!!
