Harry Potter starlet Emma Watson looks age-appropriately sleek and chick prior to the Giambattista Valli Spring/Summer 2009 show during Paris Fashion Week on Thursday in France.

The Roman-born, Paris-based designer “is one of my favorites,” Victoria Beckham has said. (She wore one of his frocks to Katie Holmes’s Italian wedding.) Other big names who are fans of Valli? Beyoncé, Penélope Cruz, Sarah Jessica Parker and Angelina Jolie.

The 18-year-old British actress was later seen playing tourist and taking photographs with her own SLR camera on Avenue Montaigne.

Emma will voice Princess Pea in this winter’s The Tale of Desperaux, then star in next year’s Napoleon and Betsy.

“She is one of the brightest people I have ever met, with a razor-sharp mind,” says Harry Potter producer David Heyman. “After seeing her work in Half-Blood Prince, I can assuredly say she can do it all. She is a great comedienne, and brings real gravitas to the dramatic scenes.”

Harry Potter starlet Emma Watson sits front row with fashion model pal Alexa Chung at the Fashion Fringe show at London Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2009 on Thursday in London, England.

On Tuesday, the 18-year-old British actress was seen attending The Giles Fashion Show at The Diary during London Fashion Week.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is scheduled for release on July 17, 2009. It was originally set to be released on November 21st but was pushed back “to guarantee the [Warner Bros.] studio a major summer blockbuster in 2009.”

The Harry Potter star has reportedly dished out £1 million on a ski chalet in the fashionable French resort of Meribel, according to The Telegraph.

“The house is Emma’s way of celebrating her recent straight As at A-level and finally getting her hands on some of her hard-earned cash. She worked really hard this year and didn’t have much of a birthday party so this was her present to herself,” a friend said.

“Like her co-stars, Emma has received some pretty sound advice about money. She always wanted a ski chalet and she’s having a great time doing it up. She’s looking forward to having friends to stay.”
