Nicole Kidman looks green glamorous at ELLE Magazine’s 15th Annual “Women in Hollywood” Tribute held at The Four Seasons on Monday in Los Angeles.

The 41-year-old Aussie actress is the November 2008 cover girl for Elle. Here are some fantastic highlights from her interview:

On becoming a mother later in life: “At 41, it’s a more painful love. I look at that little girl, and I’m, like, Oh, no, what’s going to happen? It’s almost like my heart is stretching; I’m feeling all these muscles stretch with emotion. It’s a beautiful love but there’s a lot of fear and pain for her life, and for Bella’s and Connor’s life. I like to believe that nothing was stopping Sunday from coming into the world.”

On her screen life compared to real life: “My screen life was far more exciting and beautiful than my real life. I went through this long period of being alone. I was very, very damaged, and I did not want to jump into a relationship, because I would have nothing to give, just shreds of what I was.”

Shirley MacLaine on Nicole: “She has this heavenly quality. I find her so otherworldly beautiful, otherworldly intelligent, otherworldly resilient, I call her My Alien. And only an alien could lose all that baby weight in two weeks.”

Naomi Watts on Nicole’s personality: “She’s not a wallflower, but she can be very shy. By nature she’s someone who isn’t instantly the most comfortable person in the room, but she fights that.”

Ben Chaplin (her Birthday Girl costar) on Nicole’s humor: “She likes naughty-boy humor. She’s very happy with that. I remember the director saying, ‘If Nicole’s flagging, you just need to sauce her up a bit.”

Nicole Kidman shares a laugh with country superstar husband Keith Urban while stopping by a coffee shop in Nashville, Tennessee earlier this week.

Tonight in Beverly Hills, Nicole will be honored by the legendary Shirley MacLaine at a VIP gala during Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood Tribute.

Seven more “most powerful and celebrated women” in the movie business will also be honored at the event, which will be hosted by Chelsea Handler (host of E!’s celeb-skewering show Chelsea Lately).

Nicole Kidman graces the November 2008 cover of Elle’s Annual Women in Hollywood Issue. The 41-year-old new mom dishes about living in Nashville with country-singer-husband, Keith Urban, being a new mom to baby Sunday and her upcoming film, Australia.

The Moulin Rouge actress co-stars with Hugh Jackman in Australia. The Baz Luhrmann-directed film is set in pre-World War II Australia, revolves around an English aristocrat who inherits a sprawling ranch reluctantly pacts with a stock-man in order to protect her new property from a takeover plot. The film is to be released November 26th.

The issue also honors actress-director Jane Fonda and Halle Berry.

Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban spend the afternoon at Stamford Bridge today, where they watched Chelsea play Manchester United in London on Sunday.

The 41-year-old Aussie actress and her husband cheered for both teams, as Chelsea and Manchester United played to a 1-1 draw. The couple left their new baby Sunday Rose, at home.

Nicole is currently in London shooting Nine, with Daniel Day-Lewis and Kate Hudson.

Nine is set to be released in December 2009.

The movie-musical will be directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha). Nine tells the story of famous film director Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis), who struggles to find harmony in his professional and personal lives, as he engages in dramatic relationships with his wife, his mistress, his muse, his agent, and his mother.

A solo Nicole Kidman catches the Noel Coward play Brief Encounter at the Haymarket Cinema in London on Friday.

In the show, the lives and loves of three couples are played out in the famous station tearoom using the words and songs of Coward to create a breataking, delightfully funny and tear-inducing show.
