NBA Star J.R. Smith's Baby Making Progress After Being Born 5 Months Early

Cleveland Cavaliers player J.R. Smith and his wife Jewel‘s baby daughter is doing better after being born five months early.

The couple welcomed their little girl Dakota back in January and shared the news in a touching video.

Earlier this week, Jewel took to the baby’s website to share that after months of hard work, she no longer needs a breathing tube.

“I mean I was beyond excited to hold our 2lb 13oz miracle in the palm of my hands for the very first time,” she wrote.

Jewel added, “What some mothers get to experience within the first 2 minutes of giving birth I had to wait 78 days but, what I will say is it was worth the wait because those very feelings, emotions and joy that took over my body trumps it all.”

We’re so glad to hear baby Dakota is doing better!

Mayim Bialik Wants People to Stop Calling Women 'Girls'

Mayim Bialik Wants People to Stop Calling Women 'Girls'

Mayim Bialik is sick of people referring to grown women as “girls.”

The Big Bang Theory actress and author took to her Facebook to share a video explaining why using the phrase “girl” is demeaning.

“When we use words to describe adult women that are typically used to describe children, it changes the way we view women — even unconsciously, so that we don’t equate them with adult men. In fact, it implies that they’re inferior to men,” she explained.

Mayim continued, “We never call men boys because it’s demeaning and emasculating.”

She later added, “Maybe if we start using language that elevates women and doesn’t equate them with sweet, small, cuddly, tender things, we’ll start treating them as more than that as well.”

'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' Almost Had A Lot More Cameos!

'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' Almost Had A Lot More Cameos!

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story had quite a few cameos cut from the film!

Screenwriter Gary Whitta recently explained that he and the other writers decided to hold back when it came to featuring older characters.

“We did have some other characters but the reason why they’re not in the film is because any time we did something like, where I’m wearing the fanboy hat and not the professional writer’s hat, someone would come along and say, let’s not do that character again,” he explained to EW.

Gary said that the film was originally going to include Admiral Ackbar, among other characters, but J.J. Abrams featured him in The Force Awakens first.

Gary added, “I thought having Evazan and Walrus Man was a little too much. You have to reign in that instinct to go back and put things in just because you loved them when you were a kid.”

In fact, the decision to move forward with new characters came directly from Lucasfilm.

“The number one mandate we got from Lucas was to show things we have not seen before. Don’t show us the stuff we’ve seen already. Show us some new stuff,” Gary explained.

Rebecca Ferguson Once Saved Someone's Life on an Airplane!

No big deal, Rebecca Ferguson just saved someone’s life once.

The 33-year-old Life actress opened up about how she helped a woman who had a seizure on a plane.

“The woman behind me got some kind of a seizure. And something happened — either I’d watched a lot of House or ER, but I kind of just knew what to do,” Rebecca told People.

She explained that she instructed the woman to lay down and put her legs up and told the flight crew to give her orange juice for the vitamin C.

Rebecca finally thought it was best if a real doctor stepped in, saying, “No I’m not a doctor. Stop it, Rebecca. You’re just an actress.”

Thankfully the woman was okay and Rebecca thinks the seizure had to do with the altitude.

The 41-year-old actress and her co-star Jason Statham opened up about the film at a press conference on Thursday (March 23) in Beijing, China.

Charlize was very upset when she found out that she wasn’t going to drive any cars, but [my character] Cipher, I think, was very excited to know that she was going to have her own badass jet,” Charlize joked during the conference.

She added that the most difficult part of the film was staying safe!

Charlize said, “It’s about what we’re expected to do and trying to stay safe because we’re trying to blur the lines of like, really death-defying stuff.”

FYI: Charlize is wearing Louis Vuitton.
