Nerve Gas Riddles Gilmore Girls

34-year-old actress Mary Lynn Rajskub, widely worshiped as 24's resident computer geek Chloe O'Brian, made a guest spot on last week's season finale of Gilmore Girls.  She sang a song on the streets of Stars Hollow, Connecticut à la "Smelly Cat" from Friends' Phoebe.  Here are the hilarious song lyrics --

24's Heart of Darkness

I'd once read that, in public, Kiefer Sutherland renders "a kind of bluff, surface friendliness that seems to conceal something else." This has also been the gloss on his father, that towering figure of an actor, the great Donald Sutherland, who once helped define eras, with movies like M*A*S*H and Klute. Certainly the two look alike, with their weird, low-slung earlobes, their chipmunk cheeks and their mischievous devil's-work grins. But as far as the son goes, I find him surprisingly forthright, gamely willing to talk about anything you want to talk about -- his two failed marriages, his luckless 1991 engagement to Julia Roberts, his disapproval of foods with certain textures, and assorted other upsets, including drunken run-ins with Christmas trees, his (former) tendency to get into bar fights and that time in his life, just before 24, when he was churning out very bad flicks just for the money.

Kiefer Confirms '24' Movie

KKKKKKIIIIIIIEEEEEEEFFFFFFFFEEEEEERRRRR!!!!!!!  Days after signing a deal with FOX to create three new seasons of 24 for $40 million, Kiefer Sutherland, 39, will hit the big screen as U.S. federal agent Jack Bauer.  Movie production is already under way!  Kiefer told MTV, "The 24 hour movie would be a two hour representation of a 24 hour day. It would be the first time that we would not do something in real time, but the characters would obviously be derivative of the show. The timing issue is what the writers are working on now. Hail to the Creep!

24 fans love to loathe Gregory Itzin's evil president!  At the beginning of this wild season on 24, the producers graciously asked Gregory Itzin what he'd like to see happen with his character, President Charles Logan. "I said, 'I'd like to be the hero,'" Itzin says. "I'd like Logan to turn out to be the guy in the big white hat." ¶ So much for the opinion of actors. With only a handful of episodes left in Day 5, Logan has emerged as the dark force behind a White House scandal that makes Watergate look like a couple of parking tickets. Contrary to everyone's perception, Logan's not the bumbling, indecisive half-wit-in-chief but rather the man who masterminded the plot to steal Sentox nerve gas and assassinate David Palmer. The president has ties to shadow people in the government, like Walt Cummings, who wasn't a suicide after all, and even the Russian terrorists are in Logan's pocket. From a show standpoint, it's a series high point after a season of staggering twists and surprises. As coexecutive producer Evan Katz says, "I don't think anything like this has ever happened on TV. 24 Death Toll Six and Rising

SPOILERS!  They're dropping like flies on this season of 24!  The death toll is high and rising as two more agents were killed in the line of duty during last night's episode of 24, the fifth and sixth "major" deaths of the season. Here's a list of the 24 Season 5 deaths so far :: President David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert),  Agent Michelle Dessler (Reiko Aylesworth), Agent Edgar Stiles (Louis Lombardi), Chief of Staff Walt Cummings (John Allen Nelson), ex-Agent Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard), and most recently Homeland Security liaison Lynn McGill (Sean Astin).  R.I.P 24 Season 5 casualties.
