Sarah Silverman Addresses #MeToo Allegations Against Friends Louis C.K., Al Franken & Aziz Ansari

Sarah Silverman appears on the cover of GQ‘s annual comedy issue alongside Kate McKinnon and Issa Rae, available on newsstands on May 29.

Here’s what the 47-year-old comedian had to say…

On Louis C.K.: “Life is complicated. Love is even more complicated. But you can’t not do it. I don’t have some definitive sound bite or nutshell of how I feel about it, even to myself. But I’m also okay with that…He’s my brother, so it’s hard. I may not have a very clear perspective on it, but I’m trying to.”

On Al Franken: “He and [his wife] Franni are devastated. I understand that I may have cognitive distortion, because I love him so much. But all I can say is, and he may not be excited about this, but he has no sexuality. I believe in my heart of hearts he never copped a feel…I’ve worked with him for years. I’m so sad that he got bullied into resigning, because all he loved in this world was being a senator. I’ve never met a more pure person.”

On Aziz Ansari: “I was just like, ‘Gross, I don’t wanna know that about Aziz!’ Hopefully he’s dealing with things, looking inward, and will blossom from it.”

This is one of Aziz‘s first public appearances since being accused of sexual harassment by an anonymous 23-year-old woman back in January.

“I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said. I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture. It is necessary and long overdue,” Aziz said in his response to the allegation.

Adam Scott Gives an Update on Aziz Ansari

Aziz Ansari has kept a low profile for the past two months after being accused of sexual misconduct and the actor’s friend Adam Scott is sharing an update on him.

Back in January, a woman claimed she had the “worst night” of her life during a date with Aziz, in which she felt uncomfortable when things escalated quickly at his apartment.

In a new interview with Vulture, Adam, who starred on Parks and Recreation with Aziz, gave an update about how he’s doing.

“I don’t know what to say on the record about Aziz. I don’t want to say anything that could be misconstrued,” Adam said. “I’ll say this: Aziz is doing great. He’s a great, lovely guy. How’s that?”

Amy Schumer Comments on 'Friend' Aziz Ansari's Misconduct Allegations

Amy Schumer spoke about the accusations against Aziz Ansari and the #MeToo movement while making an appearance on The Katie Couric Podcast.

“I don’t think anyone wants to see Aziz‘s career ruined or his life ruined or anything like that, but that’s where people’s minds go,” Amy said on the podcast. “They go, ‘Does he deserve this?’ And it’s really not about that. I think it’s about expressing and showing women that that behavior is not okay and not only can you leave, but you need to leave. Because then the women who come after you, you’re leaving a mark for them too.”

“He’s been my friend and I really feel for the woman. I identify with all the women in these situations. Even if it’s my friend, I don’t go, ‘Oh, but he’s a good guy.’ I think, ‘What would it feel like to have been her?’” she later said.

If you don’t know, Aziz responded to the sexual misconduct allegations after they came to light.

Joel McHale Defends Aziz Ansari Amid Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Joel McHale is defending fellow comedian Aziz Ansari against claims that he sexually assaulted a woman during a date.

“It was probably just a really bad date,” Joel told TMZ. “The problem is that people will read just the name and then just the accusation, and they don’t find out anything more than that. But it sounds like it was consensual.”

Joel said he does support the #MeToo movement.

“The Me Too movement is tremendous and it is awesome and needs to continue forever. But if someone had a bad date, then it was a bad date,” he continued.

Aziz Ansari Responds to Sexual Misconduct Allegation

“In September of last year, I met a woman at a party. We exchanged numbers. We texted back and forth and eventually went on a date. We went out to dinner, and afterwards we ended up engaging in sexual activity, which by all indications was completely consensual,” Aziz wrote in a statement on Sunday (January 14).

“The next day, I got a text from her saying that although ‘it may have seemed okay,’ upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable. It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said. I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture. It is necessary and long overdue.”
