Madonna takes the cover of The Advocate‘s latest issue to chat about her new movie, W.E., and her upcoming album MDNA.

Here’s what the 53-year-old Material Girl had to share:

On relating to Wallis Simpson upon moving to England: “Like Wallis Simpson, I felt like an outsider. I thought, Life is so different here, and I’m used to being a New Yorker, and I have to learn how to drive on the other side of the road. Suddenly, I found myself living out in an English country house and trying to find my way in this world, so I decided to really take it on and do research and find out about English history and learn about the royal family.”

On Lady Gaga’s connection to her fans and whether it’s parallel to her own relationship with gay fans: “It seems natural, and I can see why she has a young gay following. I can see that they connect to her kind of not fitting into the conventional norm. I mean, she’s not Britney Spears. She’s not built like a brick s—house. She seems to have had a challenging upbringing, and so I can see where she would also have that kind of connection, a symbiotic relationship with gay men.”

On her daughter Lola: “I’m a strict mother. My daughter doesn’t know why I won’t allow her to get everything pierced or a tattoo or dye her hair blond on the tips and pink at the roots.”

W.E., which will debut in theaters in limited release on February 3, tells the story of the affair between King Edward VIII and American divorcee Wallis Simpson as well as a contemporary romance between a married woman and a Russian security guard.

Last week, Madonna hit the red carpet with Andrea for the premiere of W.E. at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City.

Check out Madonna‘s latest artwork for MDNA, the twelfth studio album set to be released March 26.

The album’s artwork was shot by Mert and Marcus and directed by Giovanni Bianco.

“Give Me All Your Luvin’,” which features M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj, will be released as the first single from the album on February 3. Madonna will perform the track at Super Bowl XLVI next weekend. So exciting, can’t wait!!

Madonna sparkles on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno held at the NBC Studios on Monday (January 30) in Burbank, Calif.

The 53-year-old entertainer has a busy couple of weeks coming up! Madonna‘s film W.E. comes out this Friday, she will be performing at the Super Bowl next week, and has an album, MDNA, set to be released in March!

Madonna spoke to host Jay Leno on the show about a goof that happened during her first live show, the MTV Awards.

“Here’s what happened. I lost my shoe, my white stiletto….so I pretend I meant to do this. So I dove onto the floor and I rolled around and I reached for the shoe. And as I reached for the shoe the dress went up!” Madonna recalled.

The 53-year-old Material Girl will debut the video for it on Thursday (February 2) during American Idol!

Madonna teams up with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. on the track, which is the first single off her new album, M.D.N.A.

“Give Me All Your Luvin” was produced by Madonna and Martin Solveig (“Hello”). Madonna will perform the track at Super Bowl XLVI next weekend!

Madonna gets silly in the studio with M.I.A. in this teaser for her upcoming album, M.D.N.A.

“With [producer] William [Orbit], I don’t really a have a discussion. We’ve worked on stuff for so many years that we kind of finish each other’s sentences. He knows my taste and what I like,” Madonna told MTV News about her longtime collaborator.

The latest buzz surrounding Madonna‘s Super Bowl performance is that LMFAO and Cee Lo Green will be joining her on stage for the half time show. Previously rumored guest performers include M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj!

Madonna looks stunning at the premiere of her film W.E. held at the Ziegfeld Theater on Monday (January 23) in New York City.

The 53-year-old director of the movie posed on the red carpet with actors Andrea Riseborough and James D’Arcy.

“Well, the Oscars, the nominations are coming out tomorrow, and fingers crossed, I hope my movie gets nominated for something,” Madonna told MTV on the red carpet. “I would be really grateful if it did, but if it doesn’t, I got the Super Bowl — keep on going,” she added.

Madonna brought along daughter Lourdes and beau Brahim Zaibat to the screening. At the beginning of the screening, Madonna thanked her mother, who has passed away, and got emotional.

Also pictured inside from the Cinema Society & Forevermark‘s premiere, where guest grabbed a Vita Coco water on the way inside: Ewan McGregor, Irina Shayk, and Julia Stiles with boyfriend David Harbour.
