Ciara Delivers Stunning Performance of 'God Bless America' at the U.S. Open

Ciara dons a tennis dress as she performs “God Bless America” at Arthur Ashe Stadium during Day 13 of the 2015 U.S. Open on Saturday (September 12) in New York City.

Celebrities also came out in full force for the final day of the tennis tournament.

Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union enjoyed the match as well as Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas, Robert Redford, James Taylor and Paul Wesley and his girlfriend Phoebe Tonkin.

Serena Williams Congratulates Flavia Pennetta on U.S. Open Win

Serena Williams may not have won the calendar year Grand Slam as hoped, but she is taking the high road by congratulating Flavia Pennetta, the winner of the 2015 U.S. Open.

The 33-year-old tennis player was defeated in the semi-finals round yesterday in a major upset after Italian player Roberta Vinci pulled off a surprise victory.

Had she won the tournament, Serena would have made history as the first tennis player, male or female, to win a Grand Slam since Steffi Graff did in 1988.

Flavia Pennetta Wins U.S. Open, Announces Retirement

Flavia Pennetta has won a grand slam title after being crowned the winner of the Women’s Singles tournament at the 2015 U.S. Open Championships on Saturday (September 12) in New York City.

The 33-year-old Italian player, pictured right, defeated her best friend Roberta Vinci in the finals.

The two players, who were long shots to make it to the finals, made history as this was the first time that two Italian players have faced off in the final round of the U.S. Open. What makes the story even better is that the players have known each other since they were 10!

Roberta pulled off a major upset yesterday by defeating Serena Williams and ending her bid for the complete grand slam win.

While accepting her trophy after the match, Flavia announced that she is retiring and this is her final match.

Serena Williams might have lost her bid for the Grand Slam, but celebrities are still showing her a whole lot of love amid the upset.

Serena would have made history as the first tennis player, male of female, to win a grand slam since Steffi Graff did it in 1988 had she won the tournament.

Serena Williams Loses Grand Slam Bid to Roberta Vinci

Serena Williams has been defeated in a major upset during the semi-finals round at the 2015 U.S. Open on Friday (September 11) in New York City.

The 33-year-old tennis player lost to Italian player Roberta Vinci – 6-2, 4-6, 4-6.

“I’m sorry… for the American people, for Serena, for the grand slam. But today is my day, sorry guys!” Roberta said in her post-match interview.

If Serena won the match, she would have went on to the finals for a chance to win the grand slam, a victory in all four of the major tournaments.

Serena received support at the match that day from her rumored boyfriend Drake.

Drake Supports Serena Williams at U.S. Open Amid Dating Rumors

Drake flashes a big smile while sitting in the stands at Serena Williams‘ semi-finals match at the 2015 U.S. Open on Friday afternoon (September 11) in New York City.

The 28-year-old rapper has been rumored to be dating Serena over the last couple months and they were reportedly spotted kissing at a restaurant last month.
