The 30-year-old entertainer was seen sitting in the audience rooting for Selena as she poured her heart out while accepting the Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock award.

Zoe Saldana is stunning in a red, white and blue gown while attending the 2016 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (November 20) in Los Angeles.

The 38-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star hit the stage to present the Favorite Artist – Alternative Rock Award to Twenty One Pilots, who also won Favorite Pop/Rock Duo or Group earlier in the evening.

Zoe‘s fellow Marvel family member Robert Downey Jr. also hit the stage to introduce Sting before honoring him with the Award of Merit.

FYI: Zoe is wearing a Monse dress. Robert is wearing Givenchy jacket and pants paired with a Marcelo Burlon T-shirt.

Selena Gomez made her return to the public eye at the 2016 American Music Awards on Sunday (November 20) and she gave an emotional speech while accepting an award.

The 24-year-old entertainer won the award for Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock and the show was her first appearance since going on a break to deal with anxiety and depression stemming from her battle with lupus.

In the speech, she asked her fans to show her their hearts.

“If you are broken, you do not have to stay broken. And if that’s anything whether you respect me or not, that’s one thing you should know about me. I care about people and thank you so much for this. This is for you,” Selena told her fans.

Idina Menzel threw some shade at President-elect Donald Trump and sent some love to the cast of Hamilton while presenting at the 2016 American Music Awards on Sunday (November 20) at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.

The Tony-winning actress was on stage alongside Shark Tank‘s Mark Cuban when she decided to be a little political.

Idina asked Mark, a major supporter of Hillary Clinton, what he is looking forward to next year and he said, “Not being invited to the inauguration is a good start.”

“I know how you feel,” Idina replied with a laugh. “Us unsafe, scary theater people won’t be invited to the inauguration either. I love you Hamilton!”

Idina is of course referring to the drama that went down after Mike Pence attended a performance of the Broadway musical this weekend and Trump slammed the cast for taking the moment to deliver a message to the VP-elect.

Green Day made a political statement during their performance of “Bang Bang” at the 2016 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (November 20) in Los Angeles.

The band – Mike Dirnt, Billie Joe Armstrong and Tré Cool – repeated the phrase “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA,” during the song.

John Legend performs a beautiful rendition of his song “Love Me Now” on stage at the 2016 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (November 20) in Los Angeles.

The song featured projections of couples across the stage as he sang the powerful song.

“This next performer is a brilliant musician and a wonderful father who makes a pretty damn good breakfast sandwich and he has been known to write love songs about me,” Chrissy Teigen, John‘s wife, said while intro’ing the song.

“What can I say? I’m very inspiring…but his songs are bigger than either of us and on the heels of what’s been a really interesting interesting f–ked up election for all of us, I think we could all use a little love tonight.”

The music video for “Love Me Now” stars John, Chrissy, and their daughter Luna.
