Britney Spears switches up her outfit while posing in the press room backstage at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The 34-year-old entertainer accepted the Millenium Award after performing a medley of her hit songs to kick off the show that night.

Britney was supported backstage by her mom Lynne Spears, her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, and her niece Maddie.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton take the stage together to perform their brand new duet “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The song is off of his current album If I’m Honest, and they just released it a few weeks ago.

It was a great night of amazing performances and a celebration of music at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The Weeknd led the list of nominations this year with 16 nods and he went on stage twice to accept awards throughout the show.

Adele was not present at the show, but she won Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album for 25.

Only seven out of 43 awards were announced during the show, but we were treated to a ton of amazing performances.

Joe Jonas leans back against Cole Whittle while performing at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The two DNCE band mates — along with JinJoo Lee and Jack Lawless, who all wore Moschino — hit the stage after walking the red carpet together.

“She was cracking jokes right away and kind of broke the ice,” Joe dished on the red carpet about the group’s new video with Ashley Graham.

He added, “Those things are always kind of uncomfortable. You’ve got a full camera crew with you as you’re lying in bed and trying to be intimate with someone so it’s obviously awkward right away. But she was really fun with it and we kept each other laughing.”

Celine Dion takes the stage to cover Queen‘s “The Show Must Go On” at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The 48-year-old superstar, who received the Icon award that evening, honored her late husband Rene Angelil with her performance. Celine was accompanied by Lindsey Stirling for the performance.

“Rene, this one’s for you. The show must go on,” Celine said during her acceptance speech. Celine was joined on stage by her son Rene-Charles, 15, who helped present her with the award.

Celine Dion stands on stage with her 15-year-old son Rene-Charles Angelil at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The 48-year-old singer was presented with the Icon Award by her son and she got emotional with him standing by her side.

“I’m so sorry for crying. I want to be so strong for my family and my kids and I didn’t expect that. I don’t want to cry in front of you. You make me so happy,” Celine said to her son. She then asked him to stand next to her and he said, “sure, yeah!”

Earlier this year, Rene-Charles moved the world when he gave a eulogy at his father’s funeral. Make sure to watch the video if you missed it.

Kesha takes the stage in a white suit for a touching performance at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards held at the T-Mobile Arena on Sunday (May 22) in Las Vegas.

The 29-year-old singer gave a moving tribute performance in honor of Bob Dylan and she sang his classic song “It Ain’t Me Babe.”

Kesha was joined on stage by singer-songwriter Ben Folds, who welcomed her to his concert stage last week after Dr. Luke canceled her performance at the awards show.
