Beyoncé is opening up about the meaning behind her album Cowboy Carter, due out on March 29, and it’s a reaction to a bad experience from years ago.

The upcoming album is “Act II” in a continuation of a trilogy, following “Act I,” 2022′s Renaissance.

“Today marks the 10-day countdown until the release of act ii. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the supporters of TEXAS HOLD ‘EM and 16 CARRIAGES. I feel honored to be the first Black woman with the number one single on the Hot Country Songs chart,” she began in a statement on social media.

“That would not have happened without the outpouring of support from each and every one of you. My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artist’s race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant.”

Beyonce‘s performance at the 2016 CMA Awards was probably one of the most talked about moments of the night, but mentions of the appearance were seemingly erased from the show’s website.

The entertainer sang a new version of her song “Daddy Lessons” featuring the Dixie Chicks and got a lot of acclaim from fans.

Sadly, there was also backlash from some country music fans who said that Beyonce did not have a place at the show. After the backlash was heard, all evidence of the performance was seemingly erased from the CMAs’ website and social media accounts.

This move then received criticism and the CMA account on Facebook ended up sharing the Dixie Chicks‘ post about the performance.

The Country Music Association released this statement: “CMA has not erased any mentions of Beyonce‘s performance on the CMA Awards. In advance of the broadcast, CMA removed a five-second promotional clip from ABC.com and CMA’s Facebook page. The promo was unapproved and CMA removed it prior to the broadcast. Beyonce‘s performance with Dixie Chicks was a highlight of the evening and we are continuing to share the amazing full-length performance clip via our official social channels.”

Carrie Underwood took her hosting duties extremely seriously at the 2016 CMA Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday (November 2) in Nashville, Tenn.

Between performances and mocking the election, the 33-year-old entertainer changed her wardrobe each time she hit the stage!

Carrie paid homage to some iconic past looks from Reba McEntire‘s plunging red dress from 1993 to Dolly Parton‘s famous silver gown from the 1970s.

During the show, Carrie also won Female Vocalist of the Year, making this the third time she’s won this award!

Beyonce has released a new version of her song “Daddy Lessons” featuring the Dixie Chicks after teaming up with them for an epic CMA Awards performance!

The awesome new recording is now available as a free download on DixieChicks.com and for streaming on SoundCloud, which you can hear below.

“Daddy Lessons,” a song from Bey‘s latest album Lemonade, has a lot of country influence and many people thought it should have received a CMA nomination.

At the end of the recording, which appears to be a live version, one of the ladies tells Bey, “I hope you secretly recorded that.”

Well, it looks like she was, luckily for all of us!

Miranda Lambert hits the stage with her guitar during the 2016 CMA Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday (November 2) in Nashville, Tenn.

The 32-year-old entertainer performed her latest single “Another Vice” during the awards show.

Dolly Parton accepts her Lifetime Achievement Award on stage while attending the 2016 CMA Awards held at the Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday (November 2) in Nashville, Tenn.

The legendary country singer received a tribute performance from some of country music’s best female vocalists, including Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, and Kacey Musgraves.

Lily Tomlin introduced the tribute and Jennifer sang “Jolene” with Pentatonix while Reba did her rendition of “9 to 5.”

All of the ladies joined forces to sing the classic song “I Will Always Love You,” which you can watch below!
