Shailene Woodley, a longtime supporter of Bernie Sanders, called out “false narratives” at the 2016 Democratic National Convention during night two of the four-day event.

The 24-year-old actress was one of the many celebrities at the event and she was there to use her voice to support the “Stop TPP” movement. She joined others who are opposed to the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a 12-country trade deal signed by President Obama.

While Hillary Clinton initially supported it (she later changed her position), Bernie has been opposed from the beginning.

Shailene was at the convention on Tuesday night (July 26) and pointed out that people left the arena after Hillary was officially nominated for president by the Democratic party. She also called out the “Hillary for America” official Twitter account for using a photo of a Bernie supporter crying and twisting it to make it pro-Hillary.

Alicia Keys gives an energetic performance to close out day two of the 2016 Democratic National Convention on Tuesday (July 26) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Penn.

The 35-year-old singer performed two songs – “Superwoman” and her current single “In Common.”

Alicia dedicated the performance to the “Mothers of the Movement,” the mothers of young black victims of police brutality who spoke on stage earlier in the evening.

“Women are the answer. We have the power to ensure that this country gets on the right path. I dedicate this song to the Mothers of the Movement and all mothers who have lost their sons and their daughters to senseless violence. Until we deal with gun violence in this country, we can’t claim ‘home of the brave,’” Alicia said while opening her performance.

Meryl Streep appears on stage for her speech at the 2016 Democratic National Convention on Tuesday (July 26) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Penn.

The three-time Oscar-winning actress had the hard task of following former President Bill Clinton‘s lengthy speech about how he fell in love with his wife, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

“Nearly 100 years after women got the vote, you people have made history,” Meryl said during her speech. “And you’re going to make history again in November because Hillary Clinton will be our first woman president, and she will be a great president. And she will be the first in a long line of women, and men, who serve with grit and grace. She’ll be the first, but she won’t be the last.”

The former President of the United States talked about how he met his wife, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, and how he proposed to her three times before she finally said yes.

“I married my best friend. I was still in awe after more than four years of being around her at how smart and strong and loving and caring she was and I really hoped that her choosing me and rejecting my advice to pursue her own career was a decision she would never regret,” he said.

During the speech, Bill called Hillary “the best darn change maker I ever met in my entire life” and he talked about all of her advocacy work throughout the years.

The Democratic presidential nominee live streamed into the Wells Fargo Center from New York City as she was not there that evening.

Hillary “broke the glass ceiling” on Tuesday when she became the first woman to ever be nominated by a major party, so the symbolic moment was very fitting!

Elizabeth Banks produced an awesome new video featuring a ton of celebs singing Rachel Platten‘s “Fight Song” to support Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

The video was shown after Bill Clinton‘s speech at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday (July 26). Elizabeth was the host of the evening’s festivities.

Some of the celebs featured in the video are former Wicked co-stars Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, Mandy Moore, Jane Fonda, Jaime King, Connie Britton, the cast of Pitch Perfect, and Rachel herself!

Lena Dunham and America Ferrera make an appearance on stage together during the 2016 Democratic National Convention on Tuesday (July 26) at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Penn.

The actresses bashed Republican nominee Donald Trump in their speech.

“I’m Lena Dunham, and according to Donald Trump my body is probably like a two,” Lena said while introducing herself. America introduced herself by saying, “I’m America Ferrera and, according to Donald Trump, I’m probably a rapist.”

“We know what you’re all thinking,” Lena added. “Why should you care what some television celebrity has to say about politics?”

“We feel the same way. But he is the Republican nominee, so we need to talk about it,” America continued.

Lena talked about how she is a sexual assault survivor with a chronic reproductive illness and America discussed how she is the daughter of immigrants. Watch the full speech below!
