Taraji P. Henson flashes a smile while speaking onstage at her Empire panel discussion held during the FOX portion of the 2016 Summer TCA Tour at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Monday (August 8) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“I just look at her like I look at myself or any human. We’re always constantly learning, growing and evolving,” the 45-year-old actress expressed about her character Cookie (via E!). “You’ve got to remember, she was locked up for 17 years. She’s got a lot of catching up to do.”

It was recently announced that Mariah Carey will be heading to Empire‘s third season in the role of Kitty!

“She was great. She’s fabulous, she’s beautiful to look at,” Taraji added. “Wish I could wear a leotard like that… what Mariah brings to the music industry, she brought to the show. I’m grateful she spent time with us.”

That same evening, Taraji switched dresses for the 2016 Fox Summer TCA All-Star Party.

January Jones is gorgeous as she strikes a pose at the 2016 Summer TCA Tour Fox All-Star Party held on Monday (August 8) in Los Angeles.

The 38-year-old actress was joined at the event by her The Last Man On Earth co-star Will Forte, as well as Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, and New Girl‘s Max Greenfield and Lamorne Morris.

The 29-year-old actress was joined at the party by her Scream Queens co-stars John Stamos, Taylor Lautner, Emma Roberts, Keke Palmer and Billie Lourd.

Duing a Facebook Live chat earlier that day, Lea revealed that she first met John when she was just eight-years-old! While John was performing in How to Succeed in Business, Lea was performing in Les Mis in the theater next door!

“John may not remember this but I first met him in 1996…I saw you in Sardi’s one day for lunch and I went up to you and was like ‘You’re Uncle Jesse and I’m in Les Mis!’ And you asked me to sing for you,” Lea explained.

John replied, “That’s really sweet! That’s fantastic.”

The 29-year-old Shameless star stepped out to support her fiance Sam Esmail, who received an award for his work on Mr. Robot that night.
