Chris Pine and Denzel Washington were all smiles at the AFI Awards Luncheon!

The two actors stepped out to celebrate some the past year’s most “culturally and artistically significant” films at Four Seasons at Beverly Hills on Friday (January 6) in Los Angeles.

Chris and Denzel were also joined on the carpet by Jeff Bridges and Riz Ahmed.

During the ceremony, Denzel was honored for his film Fences while Riz received recognition for his TV program The Night Of.

Golden Globe nominees Claire Foy and Sarah Paulson were both recognized for their outstanding work in television at the 2017 AFI Awards luncheon.

The luncheon took place on Friday afternoon (January 6) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.

Claire and John Lithgow were honored for their portrayals in The Crown, and Sarah and John Travolta were honored for their performances in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

Also in attendance were Veep‘s Timothy Simons and Reid Scott.

Sarah also snapped some pics with Emma Stone, Claire met up with Andrew Garfield, and John shared a laugh with Jeff Bridges. Head to our gallery to see all the pics!

Michelle Williams, Amy Adams, and Naomie Harris stepped out to celebrate some the past year’s most “culturally and artistically significant” films, including their own!

The actresses hit the red carpet for the 2017 AFI Awards luncheon held at Four Seasons at Beverly Hills on Friday (January 6) in Los Angeles.

They were also joined by Mahershala Ali and Ginnifer Goodwin.

Michelle was there for her work in Manchester by the Sea, Amy was there to represent Arrival, Naomie and Mahershala for their performance in Moonlight, and Ginnifer for her voice work in Zootopia.

Amy also snapped some pics with Clint Eastwood at the event.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield met up while attending the 2017 AFI Awards luncheon, which honored their movies as some of the best from 2016!

The former couple was seen chatting at the event, though no photos of them together have been released. The luncheon took place on Friday afternoon (January 6) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.

Emma was joined by her La La Land co-star Ryan Gosling and director Damien Chazelle.

Andrew was at the event to support two films. He was joined by Silence director Martin Scorsese as well as Hacksaw Ridge director Mel Gibson (with pregnant partner Rosalind Ross) and co-stars Vince Vaughn and Luke Bracey.

The American Film Institute has released its annual list of the top ten movies of the year and it has some of the films we can expect to see throughout awards season!

Of course making an appearance on the list is Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling‘s film La La Land, which hits theaters this weekend in limited release.

Also chosen for the list is the animated movie Zootopia, which definitely will help its chances in the Best Animated Feature category at the Oscars.

AFI also announced its list of the top ten television programs of the year and some of our new favorite series like NBC’s This Is Us and Netflix’s The Crown made the cut.
