Cynthia Erivo and Ben Platt hit the red carpet together at the 2017 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 1) in New York City.
Cynthia won the Tony Award last year for her work in The Color Purple on Broadway and Ben is the frontrunner for Best Actor this year for his work in the musical Dear Evan Hansen.
Other Broadway stars at the gala included Bandstand‘s Laura Osnes, The Great Comet‘s Josh Groban, and Groundhog Day‘s Andy Karl with wife Orfeh.
“Can’t think of a more spectacular date than @CynthiaEriVo. Lucky to be on her arm. #metgala,” Ben tweeted. Cynthia added, “Tonight @BenSPLATT was my perfect prince #metgala2017 How wonderful to spend this night with you xx.”
