Cynthia Erivo and Ben Platt hit the red carpet together at the 2017 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Cynthia won the Tony Award last year for her work in The Color Purple on Broadway and Ben is the frontrunner for Best Actor this year for his work in the musical Dear Evan Hansen.

Other Broadway stars at the gala included Bandstand‘s Laura Osnes, The Great Comet‘s Josh Groban, and Groundhog Day‘s Andy Karl with wife Orfeh.

“Can’t think of a more spectacular date than @CynthiaEriVo. Lucky to be on her arm. #metgala,” Ben tweeted. Cynthia added, “Tonight @BenSPLATT was my perfect prince #metgala2017 How wonderful to spend this night with you xx.”

The theme for this year’s gala is “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between,” honoring Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo, who founded the label Comme des Garçons and is known for pushing boundaries in the fashion world.

Luke, who plays the ghastly Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, posed on the carpet with actress Catherine Deneuve.

Dane — who stars alongside Cara Delevingne in this summer’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets — wore a hunter green kid mohair notch lapel tuxedo with black grosgrain accents.

The actresses were joined at the event by Italian star Monica Bellucci, who walked the carpet with designer Valentino Garavani, as well as director Sofia Coppola, chef Katie Lee, and businesswoman Wendi Deng.

Maggie Gyllenhaal and Sofia Boutella‘s 2017 Met Gala outfits are eye candy at its finest!

The 39-year-old actress and the 35-year-old dancer both rocked super fun looks to the Costume Institute benefit held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Maggie sported a green and purple floral-themed, sequined ensemble that looks like a dress from the front and back but actually has wide pant legs underneath! The back is adorned with a blue chain. Sofia wore a black and green slit dress covered with circular rings.

They posed for pics on the red carpet with Marni‘s new creative director, Francesco Risso.

Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola look so hot together on the red carpet at the 2017 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

The New England Patriots players were likely at the event because their teammate Tom Brady served as a co-chair for the gala with wife Gisele Bundchen!

Tennis player Roger Federer was also in attendance alongside his wife Mirka.
