The winner of the 2017 Miss Universe pageant was announced during the live event held on Sunday night (November 26) at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas!

Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters from South Africa has been crowned the 2017 Miss Universe!

The celeb panel of judges evaluated all 92 contestants from all over the world on evening wear, fitness, lifestyle, talent and interview categories.

Last year’s winner Iris Mittenaere from the Philippines was on hand to help crown Demi-Leigh.

Demi-Leigh is the second woman to bring home the crown for South Africa.

Steve Harvey started off the 2017 Miss Universe pageant by addressing his big mistake from the last time he hosted.

The 60-year-old host of the show joined the competitors on stage at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and mentioned the moment from when he announced the wrong winner at 2015 Miss Universe.

“Well, my first year we started right here in Las Vegas,” he said. “We all know how that went. We don’t need to go back into that.”

Ashley Graham, Fergie, and Rachel Platten hit the red carpet as they arrive at the 2017 Miss Universe pageant held at Planet Hollywood on Sunday (November 26) in Las Vegas.

The backstage host and performers were joined by judges Ross Matthews, Lele Pons, Jay Manuel, Megan Olivi, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, and Wendy Fitzwilliam.

The Miss Universe pageant will be hosted by Steve Harvey again this year, while Fergie and Rachel will take the stage to perform.

The 2017 Miss Universe pageant is set to air in a few hours and two amazing performers will be taking the stage tonight for the festivities.

Dozens of contestants will be competing from around the globe for the title of Miss Universe, and only one will be crowned the winner.

Throughout the show, airing at 7pm ET on Fox tonight, two performers will be entertaining the crowd. Be on the lookout for performances by Fergie and Rachel Platten throughout the evening!

The 2017 Miss Universe competition airs tonight and it’s time to get to know some of the contestants from around the globe!

Ninety-two contestants will be taking the stage live from The Axis at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas later this evening. Throughout the evening, more and more contestants will be eliminated until one is crowned Miss Universe 2017.

Kara McCullough is the contestants from the United States. Another major contestant is Sarah Idan from Baghdad, Iraq. Iraq has not competed in Miss Universe since 1972.

Last year’s winner, Iris Mittenaere of France, will also be on hand during the competition.

Miss France Iris Mittenaere just won the 2017 Miss Universe competition!

The competition took place over several days in the Philippines, and culminated in a live show airing moments ago.

It has been 64 years since a woman from France took home the title of Miss Universe! Iris is 24 years old, and is currently studying dental surgery in school. She hopes to spread the message about the importance of dental care, according to reports.

Iris is also reportedly a fan of traveling and cooking.
