Pink‘s powerful Video Vanguard acceptance speech dedicated to her six-year-old daughter Willow at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards has won her plenty of praise from fans – including Mother Monster.

In a new interview with Glamour, Lady Gaga was discussing the evolution of beauty standards for women in the music industry when she brought up the “Raise Your Glass” singer’s speech.

“Now I see all kinds of avant-garde visuals and very unique senses of style for a lot of women. I think that’s how we’ve changed, and I don’t think I was the only person to do that. There were many of us, and it’s nice to see,” Gaga said.

“It’s important for women to feel like they can break away from any particular image. Pink talked about that at the MTV [Video Music] Awards. I really like what she said about her daughter.”

Fifth Harmony had fans everywhere talking when they threw a silhouette of a fifth member off the stage during their epic 2017 MTV VMAs performance of “Angel” and “Down” – and now, they’re clearing the air.

While making an appearance on Good Morning America on Tuesday (August 29), the ladies – Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane – made it clear that the moment was more about them than it was about former member Camila Cabello.

“We get asked all the time if we’re getting a fifth member and we wanted to show the world in an artistic way that, hey, the four of us are Fifth Harmony,” Ally expressed. “And we’re stronger and better than we’ve ever been.”

5H also performed their new single single “He Like That” off their newly released self-titled album Fifth Harmony, which is available everywhere now.

Joan Smalls puts her fierce style on display while walking the carpet at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards held at The Forum on Sunday (August 27) in Inglewood, Calif.

The 29-year-old model wore a blazer as a dress and she looked so chic!

Joan was joined on the red carpet by makeup artist Sir John. “Team Joan @sirjohnofficial @ericjmcneal @andrewfitzsimons Y’all make me feel all good �’� #vmas,” she captioned a photo while getting ready for the big event. See the Instagram pic below.

Katy Perry shares a laugh with her “Feels” collaborator Calvin Harris and Khalid while attending Calvin‘s 2017 MTV VMAs After Party with director Emil Nava, TIDAL x Sprint on Sunday (August 27) at the Highlight Room at the Dream Hollywood in Hollywood.

The trio were also joined at the post bash by Jared Leto, who hit the main stage at the MTV VMAs with his Thirty Seconds to Mars bandmates earlier in the night to perform their new single “Walk on Water.”

That same evening, Katy and Jared made their way to the UGG x Jeremy Scott Collaboration Launch Party held at The h.wood Group’s ‘Poppy’ in West Hollywood.

Julia Michaels keeps it cute as she hits the red carpet at the Republic Records 2017 MTV VMAs After Party hosted by Cadillac on Sunday evening (August 27) at Tao Restaurant in Los Angeles.

The 23-year-old hit-making singer and songwriter was joined at the bash by Jessie J, Chord Overstreet, Pete Wentz, Heidi Klum, Mel B, Tove Lo, Grace Mitchell, Marc E. Kesha was forced to pop a squat on the floor during the 2017 MTV VMAs because her seat was “lost”!

The 30-year-old entertainer posted a photo of her having to sit on the floor with the caption, “the vmas lost our seats so …..,” with some emoji champagne bottles and the painting nails emoji.

Kesha took the stage during the show to send a powerful message about suicide.

“It takes great courage to show the vulnerable side of being human. And we all have that vulnerable side. Whatever you are going through, however dark it may seem, there is an undeniable truth and strength in the fact that you are not alone. We all have struggles. And as long as you never give up on yourself, light will break through the darkness,” she said.
