Edward Norton is joined by co-stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Willem Dafoe at the world premiere of their movie Motherless Brooklyn on Friday (August 30) in Telluride, Col.

The 50-year-old actor also wrote and directed the new movie and brought it to the 2019 Telluride Film Festival for its world premiere.

Edward first pitched the project 20 years ago and it was a long road to getting it made!

“I want to thank Warner Bros. We made this film independently and Warners took an enormous leap with us and have been just stupendous in supporting us , getting into festivals and getting it out. In particular my friend Toby Emmerich who has patiently waited for this film for 20 years,” he said at the premiere (via Deadline).

The 25-year-old actress was joined by writer and director Kitty Green at the premiere of their new movie The Assistant.

Julia plays the assistant to an abusive executive in the entertainment industry, though they did not base the producer character on Harvey Weinstein.

“This girl is fairly new in the business,” Julia told Vulture. “She probably just got out of school and she’s struggling with what’s right and what’s wrong, but she still wants to keep her job. For people who maybe have worked in an abusive environment and they are like, I said something! I’m like, No you didn’t, you wanted to keep your job. It’s about that. It’s not about Weinstein. There [have been] so many cases, so it’s about not forgetting them, not having to go back to square one, where we were.”

Julia is currently nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her work on Ozark.

The Oscar-winning actress is garnering major Oscar buzz for her work in the movie, in which she portrays the late singer and actress Judy Garland.

THR‘s Scott Feinberg, one of the most prominent awards experts, predicts that Renee will get her fourth Oscar nomination for this project.

“I don’t think Zellweger has ever been better, and my guess is that Academy members — people who know Garland‘s story and work better than anyone, and, in some cases, actually knew the woman herself — will agree,” he said.

Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones are bringing The Aeronauts to the 2019 Telluride Film Festival!

The co-stars stepped out for a photo call at the fest on Friday afternoon (August 30) in Telluride, Colo.

Later in the day, the duo attended the premiere of the film and discussed it with the audience in a Q&A session.

The film follows real-life scientist James Glaisher and hot air balloon pilot Amelia Wren as they set out on an extraordinary journey to discover the secrets of the heavens.
