Kelsea Ballerini Performs New Version of 'Hole in the Bottle' at ACM Awards 2020!

Kelsea Ballerini hits the stage at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium for her performance at the 2020 Academy of Country Music Awards, which aired on Wednesday (September 16).

The 27-year-old country singer performed the ballerini version of her song “Hole in the Bottle.”

If you didn’t know, Kelsea dropped her album Kelsea back in March and she deconstructed all of the songs and released the new versions in a new album titled ballerini just last week.

“So this year at the ACMs I am performing my single ‘Hole In The Bottle’ but I’m performing the ballerini version of it, which is super fun to be able to play a new version of a song that’s also still kind of new and to play at The Ryman feels really fitting cause it’s all organic and stripped and it’s a drinking song and I don’t know about you but it’s really been a thing the last five months of my life,” Kelsea told Country Now about the performance. “I just have to like pat everyone on the back because it’s been so safe and everyone’s taking every precaution to get music to people but do it the right way and I think that just represents country music so well and to be able to be a part of this community and a part of this show kind of being the first real thing that we’ve gotten to do in months and months and months, I’m just really grateful to be here.”

ACM Awards Move From Las Vegas to Nashville For Rescheduled Event

The 2020 ACM Awards are moving from Las Vegas to Nashville.

Variety is reporting that the country music award show is heading back to Music City for the re-scheduled event in September.

The Grand Ole Opry House, the Ryman Auditorium and the tiny Bluebird Cafe will serve as the venues for the telecast, which will still be broadcast on CBS. However, there was no word about live audiences being a part of the event.

“While we were disappointed to postpone our April show in Las Vegas, we couldn’t be more thrilled to host the rescheduled 55th ACM Awards in the home of country music for the first time in the Academy’s history,” Damon Whiteside, CEO of the ACM, shared in a statement.

He adds, “First and foremost, we want to ensure the safety of our artists and industry, and to ease the burdens of traveling large teams; therefore, we decided to bring the ACM Awards to them this September in Nashville.”

“On behalf of all Tennesseans, I want to thank the Academy of Country Music for bringing this event home … Tennessee is honored to be a part of this historic event,” Tennessee Governor Bill Lee also shared.

The ACM Awards are hosted by the previous years’ entertainer of the year winner which is Keith Urban.

The event will air live at 8/7c on CBS and will also stream on demand on the network’s All Access service.
