Justin Timberlake Presents ESPYs Icon Awards to Three Sports Greats! (Video)

Justin Timberlake makes an appearance on stage to present the Icon Awards at the 2016 ESPY Awards on Wednesday (July 13) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The 35-year-old entertainer presented the award to three sports greats who all retired this year – basketball player Kobe Bryant, soccer player Abby Wambach, and football player Peyton Manning.

During the show, Justin encouraged his fans to watch the story of Arthur Ashe Courage Award winner Zaevion Dobson, who gave his life to shield others from gunfire.

“This is a true story of heroism. #ZaevionDobson Please watch,” he tweeted.

Soccer Pro Abby Wambach Arrested for DUI in Portland

Abby Wambach was taken into custody after driving under the influence on early Sunday morning (April 3) in Portland, OR.

The 35-year-old former U.S. women’s soccer team player was arrested at 2:02AM PDT and charged with a misdemeanor before being booked at the Multnomah County Jail, according to the Washington Post.

Back in October, the longtime soccer pro announced her retirement from the sport following her team’s win at the 2015 Women’s World Cup.

Lena Dunham Shows Her Support for Hillary Clinton

Serena Williams Wants Women To Raise Each Other Up

Serena Williams looks stunning in a sheer black dress while on the carpet at the 2015 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards held at Carnegie Hall on Monday night (November 9) in New York City.

The 34-year-old tennis superstar was joined at the ceremony by ballerina Misty Copeland and the U.S. women’s national soccer team, including Abby Wambach, Hope Solo, Alex Morgan, and more.

During the event, Misty was honored at at the ceremony as “the showstopper” for her accomplishments in the American Ballet Theatre and her efforts to bring ballet to communities with little exposure to dance. The women’s soccer team was also honored that evening.

Serena, who was an honoree in 2014, took to the stage that evening to offer advice to young women.

“The success of every woman should be the inspiration to another. We should raise each other up. Make sure you’re very courageous: be strong, be extremely kind, and above all be humble,” she said.

Soccer Star Abby Wambach Announces Her Retirement

Abby Wambach, US soccer star, has just announced her retirement from the sport following her team’s win at the Women’s World Cup this year.

“After much deliberation and talking with my friends, family, teammates and our coaching staff, I’ve decided to finally bring my soccer career to an end,” the 35-year-old athlete said in a statement (via ESPN). “While we still have more work to do for women’s soccer, after bringing the World Cup back to the United States this summer, I’m feeling extremely optimistic about the future of our sport. It’s been an amazing, wonderful ride and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter of my life brings.”

Abby has scored 184 goals in 252 games, which is the most goals scored by any man or woman for their home country.
