Bellamy Young may be returning to television shortly after Scandal ends later this season!

'Little Mermaid' Live Musical Postponed by ABC

The live version of the musical The Little Mermaid that was scheduled to air on ABC this October has been postponed by the network.

Reports claimed that the production would include parts of the movie and also live performances of the songs, similar to last year’s Hollywood Bowl production starring Sara Bareilles as Ariel.

“We are postponing the Little Mermaid Live special. We love the idea of doing a live musical and want to make it wonderful. The project is so unique that we are making best efforts to do it next year and want to give it all the attention it deserves,” an ABC spokesperson said in a statement to THR.

The outlet reports that the live show has been postponed due to financial issues.

If you’re looking forward to a live musical on television, NBC is airing Jesus Christ Superstar next Easter and Fox will be doing Rent next year as well.

'Scandal' Officially Ending with Season 7, Shonda Rhimes Releases Statement

It’s official – Kerry Washington‘s hit series Scandal will be ending after season seven, which will air during the 2017-18 television season.

The news was rumored last week, but ABC finally confirmed it leading up to the network’s upfronts event on Tuesday (May 16).

“Deciding how to end a show is easy,” Scandal creator and executive producer Shonda Rhimes said in a statement. “Deciding when to finish is quite simple when the end date is years away. But actually going through with it? Actually standing up to say: ‘This is it?’ Not so much. So, next year we are going all out. Leaving nothing on the table. Creating this world in celebration. We are going to handle the end the way we like to handle the important things in our Scandal family: all together, white hats on, gladiators running full speed over a cliff.”
