Cameron Diaz and Abigail Breslin film scenes for their latest movie My Sister’s Keeper on a beach in Malibu on Wednesday.
During one scene Cameron, 35, and a male co-star were play fighting and kissing while Abigail, 11, was filmed holding an umbrella as she walked along the ocean.
My Sister’s Keeper is a movie about a young girl (Abigail) who sues her parents for the right to make her own decisions about how her body is used when a kidney transplant is planned in order to potentially save her older sister. Cameron Diaz plays Sara Fitzgerald, Abigail‘s mom in the movie.

Little Miss Sunshine star Abigail Breslin gets inducted into the Girl Scouts of the USA in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
While being sworn in, the 11-year-old polka dot princess held up the three finger sign, representing one’s own spiritual beliefs, other people and the Girl Scout Law.
Breslin, an Oscar nominee, can be seen in the upcoming movie Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, which is inspired by the historical American Doll line.
Kit Kittredge: An American Girl is due to be released in July 2008.

Little Miss Sunshine breakout star Abigail Breslin plays it cute in a few skirts on the set of her new film, My Sister’s Keeper, in Pasadena, Calif. on Thursday.
My Sister’s Keeper is a movie about a young girl who sues her parents for the right to make her own decisions about how her body is used when a kidney transplant is planned in order to potentially save her older sister. The Notebook‘s Nick Cassavetes will direct.
According to Wiki, Dakota and Elle Fanning were originally set to play the sisters but Dakota changed her mind when she found out she would have to shave her head to play the leukemia-suffering character of Kate. Elle dropped out along with her sister, and they were replaced with Sofia Vassilieva (pictured below) and Breslin.

Ryan Reynolds spends time in New York City promoting his latest romantic comedy, Definitely, Maybe, which has garnered a mediocre 64% on RottenTomatoes.com. (Ryan is back in Los Angeles already.)
