Colin Burgess, AC/DC's First Drummer, Dead at 77

Colin Burgess, the original drummer of AC/DC, has died.

The Australian musician was 77 years old.

Colin served as the drummer of the Masters Apprentices from 1968 to 1972. His subsequent time with AC/DC lasted from November 1973 to February 1974. The band’s other founding members are: singer Dave Evans, bassist Larry Van Kriedt, and guitarists Angus and Malcolm Young.

Malcolm Young Dead - AC/DC Guitarist Dies at 64

Malcolm Young, one of the co-founders of the band AC/DC, has died at the age of 64.

The band confirmed the sad news with a statement on their website.

“Today it is with deep heartfelt sadness that AC/DC has to announce the passing of Malcolm Young,” the statement read. “He leaves behind an enormous legacy that will live on forever. Malcolm, job well done.”

Australia’s SBS confirmed that Young passed away on Saturday (November 18) with his family by his side.

Young quit the band a few years ago after he revealed that he had been suffering from dementia. He co-founded the band in 1973 with brother Angus Young.

We send our thoughts and condolences to Malcolm‘s loved ones during this difficult time.

Guns N' Roses Surprise Fans With AC/DC's Angus Young at Coachella 2016

Fans who checked out Guns N’ Roses‘ set during the 2016 Coachella Music Festival on Saturday night (April 16) were in for a special treat when a special guest joined the band on stage.

In the middle of the set, AC/DC guitar legend Angus Young took to the stage and played a couple songs with the band, including “Whole Lotta Rosie” and “Riff Raff.”

Angus‘ on-stage appearance came just hours after the announcement that Guns N’ Roses lead singer Axl Rose will be touring with AC/DC as their replacement lead singer.
