Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning and Nicole Kidman look stunning as they hit the red carpet in their gorgeous gowns at the premiere of their latest film The Beguiled held during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals on Wednesday (May 24) in Cannes, France.

The three ladies were joined at the event by their co-stars Colin Farrell, Angourie Rice and Addison Riecke, as well as producer Youree Henley and director Sofia Coppola.

The story unfolds during the Civil War, at a Southern girls’ boarding school. Its sheltered young women take in an injured enemy soldier (Farrell). As they provide refuge and tend to his wounds, the house is taken over with sexual tension and dangerous rivalries, and taboos are broken in an unexpected turn of events.

That same day, Nicole, Kirsten and Elle rocked slightly more casual looks while promoting the flick at their The Beguiled press conference and photo call.

During the press conference, Nicole was asked about the opportunities for women as directors in the industry, whether that’s in film or TV.

“Still only about four percent of women directed the major motion pictures of 2016,” Nicole, 49, expressed (via THR). “That there says it all. I think that’s an important thing to say and keep saying. Luckily we had Jane Campion and Sofia here. We as women have to support female directors, that’s a given now. Everyone is saying it’s so different now – but it isn’t. Listen to the statistics.”
