Adele Talks Tour Ideas, Son Angelo, & More for 'Time' Cover

Adele looks gorgeous in red while posing for the cover of Time magazine‘s “Year Ahead” issue, on newsstands now.

Here is what the 27-year-old singer had to share with the mag:

On being a mom to three-year-old son Angelo: “He makes me so proud of myself, and he makes me like myself so much. I’ve never not liked myself. I don’t have hangups like that. But I’m so proud of myself that I made him in my belly … I can’t wait to know who his best friends are going to be, who his girlfriend or his boyfriend is going to be or what movies he likes … Whatever my kid wants to do or be I will always support him no matter what.”

On plans for her upcoming tour: “I’m not just going to stand there! I really would like to fly through the arena for the beginning, but no one’s having it.”

On her love for Beyonce and rumors she turned down a duet: “Whoever started that rumor must have been having a laugh because anyone who knows me knows that my main priority in life outside of my child is Beyonce. I really wanted to do a duet on this album. I spoke to someone about it who I wanted to do it with, and we got on like a house on fire, and then we just couldn’t logistically really get it to work. I can’t say who it is because I want to do it in the future. That’s the only reason. It wasn’t Beyonce!”

Adele Reveals Why She Quit Smoking

Adele just revealed the reason that she finally quit smoking!

The 27-year-old superstar told The Mirror that she had been smoking 25 cigarettes a day before losing her voice and being forced to cancel shows in 2011.

“If I’d carried on smoking, I’d probably have died from a smoking-related illness, and I think that’s really bad. If I was dying from lung cancer, I would have potentially given it to myself, and that wouldn’t be something I’d be proud of,” Adele explained.

Last month, she also told Rolling Stone that her three-year-old son Angelo also played a role in her decision to quit.

“I absolutely loved it [smoking], but it’s not that f***ing cool when I’m dying from a smoking-related illness and my kid is, like, devastated,” Adele said.

Over 10 Million Adele Fans Tried to Buy Tour Tickets Yesterday!

If you weren’t able to get tickets to Adele‘s concert tour, you’re in the same boat as millions of other people.

Ticketmaster president Jared Smith says that they had record amounts of traffic on Thursday (December 17) for the general on-sale of the tour dates with over 10 million fans rushing to the site.

In just New York City, there were four million people trying to get their hands on some of the 120,000 tickets available for the six shows at Madison Square Garden.

Despite reports that Ticketmaster’s site crashed, the company says that the systems were performing well throughout the day and they “delivered a good experience for as many fans as possible.”

“Unfortunately, when there is such an exceptional artist with unprecedented demand against short supply, there are inevitably going to be disappointed fans,” Smith wrote in a memo (via Billboard). “As you know, artists are the center of Live Nation and we work side by side with them to meet their goals. In this case, we worked with Adele’s team to help achieve their goal of having a consistent set-up across all the different ticketing companies that were selling dates on her North American tour. Although that has clearly created confusion with fans and ultimately the media on what happened on which sites, we wanted to make sure you know just how much we appreciate your incredible preparation and that we are pleased with how we did.”
