The new Broadway musical Six finally had its opening night over the weekend after waiting more than 18 months!
Cast members Abby Mueller, Andrea Macasaet, Adrianna Hicks, Brittney Mack, Samantha Pauly, and Anna Uzele walked the red carpet together during the opening night after party on Sunday night (October 3) in New York City.
In Six, the wives of Henry VIII take the mic to reclaim their identities out of the shadow of their infamous spouse—remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a celebration of 21st century girl power.
The New York Times is calling the show “pure entertainment” and the Chicago Tribune says it’s a “total blast.” Vogue says that the musical is a “riotous explosion of wit that speaks strongly and vibrantly to today.” The musical is quickly becoming the hottest show on Broadway, so get your tickets now!
Also pictured at the opening night event are writer Toby Marlow, writer and co-director Lucy Moss, co-director Jamie Armitage, choreographer Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, US music supervisor Roberta Duchak, orchestrator Tom Curran, music supervisor Joe Beighton, associate director Megan E. Farley, global associate choreographer Melody Sinclair, lighting designer Tim Deiling, associate choreographer Eliza Ohman, set designer Emma Bailey, and producers George Stiles, Andy Barnes, Kenny Wax, and Kevin McCollum.
The show’s alternates Nicole Kyoung-Mi Lambert, Mallory Maedke, Keirsten Nicole Hodgens, and Courtney Mack also posed on the carpet, as did the Six band, known as the “Ladies in Waiting,” Mariana Ramirez, Michelle Osbourne, Kimi Hayes, Elena Bonomo and Julia Schade.
Six is now running at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in New York City. Make sure to check out the cool new production photos!
