After Life finally has a debut date – along with new photos – on Netflix.

The critically acclaimed comedy-drama created by and starring Ricky Gervais returns for its final season with six new episodes.

Set in the small fictitious town of Tambury, the show follows Tony, a writer for the local newspaper whose life is upended after his wife dies from cancer. Whilst still struggling with immense grief for his wife, Tony starts to realise that making other people feel good is what can give him hope and a reason to live. After all, every end is a new beginning.

After Life, the hit Netflix show starring Ricky Gervais, has been renewed for a third season.

The renewal comes just two weeks after the launch of season two. Here’s a synopsis of the latest season: Whilst still struggling with immense grief for his wife, we see Tony (Gervais) try to become a better friend to those around him. Each grappling with their own problems and only to be intensified by the looming threat of the local newspaper being shut down.

Ricky will also be expanding his partnership with Netflix by producing both scripted series and stand-up comedy.
