Chiwetel Ejiofor looks handsome on the red carpet for the premiere of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind during the 2019 Berlin Film Festival on Tuesday (February 12) in Berlin, Germany.

The 41-year-old Oscar-nominated actor not only stars in the film, it marks his feature film directorial debut!

Chiwetel was joined on the red carpet by his co-stars Aissa Maiga and Maxwell Simba, as well as William Kamkwamba, who wrote the book that inspired the movie.

The film is about a 13-year-old boy who, inspired by a science book, builds a wind turbine to save his Malawian village from famine. It’s based on William‘s real-life story!

The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind will debut on Netflix on March 1.

The Netflix film will launch on the streaming service, as well as select theaters, on March 1.

In addition to directing, Chiwetel also stars in the film, which features Aïssa Maïga, Lily Banda and Maxwell Simba.

In the story, against all the odds, a thirteen year old boy in Malawi invents an unconventional way to save his family and village from famine. It also based on the true story of William Kamkwamba.

The film is adapted from the book of the same name by William and Bryan Mealer.
